Long before the first thunder rolls across the mountains, the riders can be seen gathering beneath the clouds. Three dark figures moving across the horizon as the sky behind them begins to glow an unnatural blue green.
They are called Stormcallers, riders said to possess an old kind of magic that cannot create a storm, but can wake one.
With every mile, the wind grows stronger. Lightning crawls across the sky. The clouds twist and churn until the riders themselves seem to disappear inside them.
No one knows what calls them from the mountains, only that their arrival is never without consequence.
Some believe they ride to places where the balance of magic has been disturbed. Others say the storms themselves choose where they are needed, and the riders simply answer.
The Dark Fantasy Collection is the first full collection from Crow & Crescent Yarn Co., inspired by the shadowy worlds of dark fantasy... ancient castles, wandering warriors, dragons, forbidden magic, monstrous creatures, and the places where heroes and villains aren’t always so easy to tell apart. Each of the twelve colorways was created around its own image and story, offering a small glimpse into a larger world brought together through color.
Preorders will remain open through September 30th, unless dyeing capacity is reached sooner. Once preorders close, please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for your skeins to be dyed and shipped.

Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. All of our yarns are thoroughly washed and rinsed, but with all hand dyed yarns there could be some excess of dye molecules that remain. It is recommended to wash separately for the first wash to ensure no dye transfer.
All skeins of Crow and Crescent Yarn are hand dyed with love in Seattle, WA using high quality professional acid dyes in small batches. Each skein is unique, and dye lots vary.
